Empty ink cartridges sound like a silly product, unless you’ve tried to find them! Cartridge/converter pens have the convenience of ready-to-use cartridges, but often in colours you don’t want. Converters solve that problem, but the capacity isn’t always what you might get from a cartridge. Empty cartridges are the solution!
Many pen brands use proprietary cartridges (meaning that the shape of the cartridge opening is specific to their pen). A handy guide to which brands take which cartridges can be found in the tab to the left!
Our very convenient multi-pack contains one each of a Sailor proprietary cartridge, a Pilot proprietary cartridge, a Platinum proprietary cartridge, a Lamy proprietary cartridge, and a standard international short cartridge.
Please note that cartridges, whilst they can (and should!) be reused, were not designed for that purpose. As a result, over time, the cartridge opening can loosen or develop cracks and cease to be useful. At that point they will need to be discarded and replaced.
