Ink Fix #2 came out of hibernation for September, and here it is in all it’s glory! We’re trying to get a good range of inks curated for the fix; in that we want to bring you things you might not have bought for yourself (a Bungubox bottle is a big investment if you’re not sure about the ink in advance!) and things you might not be able to find… like a very cool, very discontinued ink from a beloved Australian stationery store (looking at you, Standard Bindery!)
The second box was animal themed, and we hope you were as wild for it as we were!
Featured inks in Ink Fix #2 were (from top to bottom in the above picture):
Ancient Song Magpie on a Branch
A deep purple ink with gold shimmer
Diamine Flamingo Pink
A bright, happy pink with a touch of gold sheen
Montblanc Le Petit Prince Red Fox
A brickish red-orange ink with excellent shading
Bookbinder’s Snake Ink Ground Rattler
Discontinued, but not forgotten: A ghostly grey with brown undertones
Graf von Faber-Castell Viper Green
A mid-saturation vibrant green that’s readable in even the finest nib
Noodler’s Ink Blue Nose Bear
This teal-leaning blue has an interesting halo effect around the edges
So, we’d planned on including adorable animal stickers in the box, and we thought we did. And then, literally an hour after mailing them all out, Max opened up a pack of them only to find they were MORE STICKY NOTES. At least they’re cute, though, right?
