The Platinum Meteor (or Small Shooting Star) fountain pen is an excellent low-cost pen for beginners and advanced pen users alike. The patented Platinum ‘Slip & Seal’ mechanism inside the cap ensures that the pen will not dry out while not in use. And thanks to the faceted octagonal body, the pen won’t roll away; so you can pick it up exactly where you left off.

The Platinum Meteor, like the Preppy, will take Platinum and Nakaya cartridges and converters. In fact the entire nib section is interchangeable with the Preppy and Plaisir if you prefer a round pen body but just can’t resist that adorable steel star-imprint nib.

These pens do post, and come in a custom test tube with one Platinum cartridge loose in the body.
